Was there a specific reason why your Mac needed to be closely identified? Given you already

had the serial number ~ that can show most everything, if used to search online databases.

[Note the specifications should not include a twelve-inch display, for that build year series mac.

The early MacBook 2006 - 2010 series has only a thirteen-inch display; a minor detail for sure.]

FYI: There are no 2009 12" MacBooks. 2009 MacBooks had 13" screens.

12" MacBooks first appeared in Early 2015.

By entering your serial number here, it reports the laptop as a Unibody MacBook (late 2009).
