Thanks for that info and for choosing the Apple Support Communities. If I understand correctly, you are seeing files that are on your MacBook Pro on your MacBook Air. This sounds related to the Desktop and Documents folders storage option of iCloud Drive, and here is an Apple resource that has steps to turn this off:



Add your Desktop and Documents files to iCloud Drive
