Recovery of deleted text message

If you were syncing messages with iCloud, you can't. If you weren't syncing messages with iCloud, you can restore from your backup. Restoring from a backup erases all data currently on your device. Any data newer than when the backup was made will be erased. A restore is an all or nothing restore. You can't access a backup and only restore certain files.

If you have activated iCloud messages you can't.

If you have not, but you have a backup that contains the text messages, you can restore your iPhone from your backup. You will lose any messages, data, etc. added since that backup.
