Can't make trade-form except my serial number on my MackBkook Pro early 2011 model.

It accepted it once on my new MacBook Pro but will not except it on the new one nor the old one. What do I do now. I want to trade it in and buy an iPad

serial number At Apple Trade-in, you have to enter your serial number to swap your device with a newer model. In my case, this a late 2015 27" iMac. However, the software says my serial number doesn't exist... what is the cause here?

The online tool is only for estimates. ONe can just bring one in to an Apple Store for an immediate trade-in value although that might be a bit far for you.
