I have had the Apple Watch for just over a year and all of a sudden the face just popped up... what do I do?

Contact Support to arrange service and get a quote. If you have AppleCare+ cover you should be able to use one of your accidental damage incidents, otherwise it will probably be a chargeable non-warranty repair - Apple will give correct advice after examining the watch.

This seems like it is a faulty watch if the face just popped up for no reason. I don’t see why i should be charged for something like this. The watch has never been dropped or hit anything.
