Cannot rip cd's iTunes

I cannot rip cd's iTunes and the advice from apple support online doesn't seem to apply:

There is no cd button on my iTunes window

There is no help option to run cd diagnostics

When I choose preferences >general > There is no option fo cd import settings

Mojave 10.14.6 iTunes12.9.5.5

MacBook

Problem solved....it was a cable problem. I had checked optical drive in a different computer but with a different cable. I noticed after I posted the images that finder was no longer showing the connection to the optical drive that it was connected to. Cable seems to have been delivering power but not the data - it has been replaced and all is working properly now. Thanks for your offer of help though - much appreciated.
