iPhone 7 won’t update apps

My apps say I can’t get update them for a discounted price and need to “buy” normally free apps (i.e. Facebook etc). Any ideas? I’ve restart and soft restart

On my iPad I found that I had to delete the app then

download it again to get rid of this message. Ok for a free app but when I tried it on an app that I had purchased it says I will have buy again to get it back. Not good at all. Grrr!

I tried contacting Apple support. They told me the same thing, but all the apps that I had issues with were free apps.
