iCloud verification codes on multiple devices

Hi,

I have an iPad and iPhone linked to iCloud, is there way to ensure that when signing into iCloud on a new network and a verification code is required from iPhone that it only appears on my iPhone and not the iPad, which may be elsewhere at the time.
