MobileMe and iCloud

How do I get rid of or migrate information from mobileme to iCloud? I only want to have an icloud account. I want to sync my contacts and calendars on MacBook Air, iPhone 6SPlus, and iPad 6th generation to start with.

@me.com and @icloud.com

Thank you for the reply I'll do the steps you suggest. Need to get my contacts, in particular, synced and then unduplicated so I can have my sanity back. Know the first step is to back up all the contacts on each device so I don't loose anything.

MobileMe is very old.

Do you have @mac.com, @me.com or @icloud.com?

If you do then you have an iCloud account.

To sync your contacts & calendars make sure you use the same Apple ID & password

on all iOS devices (iPhone, iPad & iPod touch):

Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Contacts & Calendars: turn it ON here.

On your Mac:

> System Preferences... > iCloud > ticked Contacts & Calendars.
