Unable to verify account name or password

I've tried some of the online solution to no avail, like pressing the tab button in the system preferences-internet accounts window. Nothing seems to work. I've had the e-mail account (.msn) for 20+ years and I haven't changed the password recently. Is there a way to reset the password?

Unable to verify account name or password I am having trouble creating an email account. New MacBook Air running Monterey 12.3. I have set up my 3 other emails without problems. The troublesome email is a go daddy account. I am positive the email name and password is correct as I can easily log on in web mail. I have tried everything including deleting and re-entering several times, advanced settings and ports, the enter password and "tab" approach to no avail. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

MacBook Pro rejecting correct Apple ID and password I am having issues connecting my apple ID to my MacBook pro(early 2015 model). I attempt to sign in my apple ID through the system preferences page and when I add in the correct information it seems to neither accept or deny it which then takes me back to the option/ original page of filling in my apple ID username. I have updated my mac to the lastest version of MacOs Monetery (12.6.5) as well as switching email accounts for the apple ID with a changed password. How can I fix this issue?

Mac mail can't verify password My mother (who's having me help with some tech issues) has an iMac running OS X Yosemite. I had to reset her Yahoo/att email password, but when prompted to enter the account password in Mac mail, I got the "cannot verify password" message. I tried to manually type in the new password in Internet Accounts under system preferences, in settings > accounts on the mail app, and in the SMTP server list. I still kept getting prompted to sign in, and getting the same message. I eventually deleted the account from both Internet Accounts and the mail app, restarted the computer, and tried adding the account, but I still got the same message. In the mail app settings, under account information, under "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) it lists "att.net (Offline)," but on the main mail page the server is listed as online (I tried taking it off- and online there, which had no affect). Does anyone have a solution?

Open Keychain Access in Utilities, then either check the Password under that item, change it, or delete it and start over.

Enter the part after the @sign in the search bar.

You may have duplicate or more entries in Keychain Access.

If using a browser to login via WebMail works it's not Name or Password, but likely old passwords interfering.

There''ll be at least 2 entries, maybe more.
