Reminder app

Why doesn't the reminder app on my iphone work? The app doesn't remind me when I set a date and a time. I can't make a list either cause it wont let me write anything. I've tried deleting the app, reset my settings, turned off my phone, but nothing works. My notification is on so it's not that either. I updated my phone aswell.. Still doesn't work. What else can I do?
