You're original question is whether you can make a group Facetime call from iPad and Mac at the same time. If you are using the same Apple ID on both devices, I would believe you cannot use them both simultaneously under the same Apple ID.

I know how to do it, but it doesn’work. When I add the second contact to the group, the Audio and Video buttons on the bottom become inactive and I can’t make the call.
I am initiating the group call from my Ipad to an Ipad Pro and a Mac. All are using a different ID. As soon as I enter the second ID, the audio video buttons are inactivated.
