Transfer Mp3 files from iMac to Android phone

Can anyone tell me how to (is it possible?) to send some Mp3 files from my iMac to an Android Phone?

I am pulling my hair out. It shouldn't be as complicated as it seems. I've downloaded and uninstalled three apps on my phone that got good reviews, but... "I got nuttin"! I just bought a good quality data cable, but when I connect the phone to a usb port on the iMac, it doesn't show up anywhere. I thought some sort of icon might pop up on the desktop, like in the days of CD's. Any ideas?

Mac (21.5-inch, Late 2013) IOS 10.12.6 and Pixel 3 phone Android Version 9

[Note]: I needed a cheap phone quick 😜. Couldn't afford an iPhone ☹️

Found out through YouTube...USB Connection > Connect as > Media Device (MTP). Worked like a charm! Now when my phone rings it's "Can't you hear me knocking?" by Mick and the boys! 😃😃😃

Download and install Android File Transfer on your computer.
If your screen is locked, unlock your screen.
Connect your computer to your device using a USB cable. ...
Locate music files on your computer and drag them into your device's Music folder in Android File Transfer.

Thanks for the reply. Android File Transfer does NOTHING. I've tried that one three times and uninstalled. But thanks anyway or the reply. AFT worked on my old 2011 iMac, but doesn't do a thing on this one.
