the iphone told me to connect the phone on itunes and that the device needed to be restored and i restored and updated it then it told e unable to activate an update is required to update your iphone

If you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you can‘t activate your iPhone

Update the iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
