Apple Card: how to export Apple Card data for use in a spreadsheet.
Has anyone figured out a way to export Apple Card data for use in a spreadsheet?

You cannot export Card data.
Considering the protection afforded us by federal law, it's not a significant security hole and certainly not one worth mentioning.
Yes, I intend to cancel my Apple Card and use the several other cards that I have that do meet my needs. Actually, the Apple Card is the ONLY credit card that exists that does not allow data downloads.
Thanks for the reply.
This is a serious omission that will need to be fixed if Apple wants people to stay with the Apple Card in the long run. Other credit cards already allow their users to export their credit card transaction data.
Per Apple's advertising: "You’ll know so much more about your spending. At a glance." Of course, there is more to a person's finances than 1 credit card, thus export functionality is essential if Apple is serious about facilitating their user's ability to manage their finances.
The purpose of good IT is to give its user options, not to force the users into a box which does not full meet their needs. There are very simple ways to educate the user about security issue AND give the users additional functionality. Those 2 goals, security and functionality are not mutually exclusive.
I am a long term developer and blogger in the health Information technology world (ComChart.com), I can assure you that both goals can be achieved but the first step is to acknowledge that the users are intelligent and it is the goal of the programmer to give the user the tools and education they need to make informed decisions.

Your opinion on how it should work is not relevant, and your attempt to spam your blog is not welcome.
Apples comment "You’ll know so much more about your spending. At a glance." is a joke. Transaction categories are assignments are based on the retailer, not the product. I bought gasoline at a convenience store and my Apple Card identified the purchase as "Food and drinks" and I can't change the category. Further, I could make a large purchase consisting of a prescription drug, milk and a toy for my granddaughter and the Apple Card will give it one category.
Apple is not here. I think it may be more of a security issue than an oversight.
I have submitted this omission as a "feature request."
I do not think it is a security issue.
You do have the option of canceling the card and finding one that meets your needs.
Every opportunity to export or download the data is a potential security hole.
As has already been pointed out, you're welcome to cancel the card and seek out a product that meets your needs.
