I am unable to enable the location services in the Security and Privacy setting, and this despite following the instructions provided by Mac. The location service enabler check box is shaded and can't select it. I want my computer to update automatically recognize the time zone it is in. What do I do?

You need to first ensure that the padlock in the bottom left has been unlocked, this requires knowing an administrator level user name and password. Then you will be able to change the Privacy settings.
