“too many passcode attempts reset Apple Watch and pair again”

Hello, son was playing with my Apple Watch and now I am getting the message “to many passcode attempts reset Apple Watch and pair again”. I went to the watch app on my phone and tried to do a reset. But with no luck. Do you have any ideas on how to reset and pair my watch? Thanks
