This is the second time I've been stuck with this, and am sick of being a paying customer and having also to work for Apple, whose products do not work. I cannot downgrade the icloud storage plan - even though it always says that I can cancel at any time. Obviously it's deliberately setup like this to prevent people disusing their crap service which often fails. Anyone have this issue?

I'm sorry you're having issues with iCloud downgrading. If the Done button is grayed/dimmed then, unfortunately, the only way to cancel the subscription is to get in contact directly with Apple: https://getsupport.apple.com
Hi, Thanks for your reply, but that's precisely the thing that I'm describing which doesn't work. The option to click the free 5gb doesn't allow you to click on it
