Some people. It's a scam.

Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

It’s a scam.

It’s is always a scam.

Force Quit Safari, then restart Safari holding down the shift key. That will keep Safari from opening the same page.
