The only cons of installing Windows on a MBA are 1) it reduces the amount of drive space on your computer to use for Mac applications and the data you’ll be saving. If you intend to use both the Mac side and Windows side you’ll need at least a 256GB SSD and preferably larger. 2) you’ll be using Windows.
Your question is pretty barebones since there are 2 ways to install Windows on a Mac - with Apple’s BootCamp and with virtualization software such as Parallels Desktop. A big disadvantage of BootCamp is that you have to partition your drive. I never seem to get the partition right; that is I either make the Windows partition too small, or too large so I wind up with either not enough room for Windows stuff or not enough room for Mac stuff. The second disadvantage is that with BootCamp I am either running Windows or Mac OS. I have to reboot to switch which isn’t such a big deal now that we have speedy SSDs but still an inconvenience. The advantage is that with BootCamp my MBA is the best Windows computer I’ve ever used.
Virtualization has a couple of advantages. First, it is a programming running on the Mac OS so I can switch between a Windows program and a Mac program immediately. That can be incredibly convenient. Second, the Windows drive isn’t a partition, it is a disk file which can expand as additional space is required. The disadvantage is speed. While virtualization has come a long way in 10 years, there is some software that just doesn’t play nice - like 3D games.
