I need to free up hard dive space and was wondering if deleting a user would do this on a computer running High Sierra 10.13.6. This is a secondary MacBook Pro with a small SSD that I will need to use PS and LR CC on for an event, and do not have time to order and install a larger drive before hand.
If you delete the home folder along with the account (it asks you), then it should make that space available. But, if that account doesn't store much data, then it likely won't provide much space.

The biggest user seems to be "System" at 65 Gigs on a 121 SSD GB Drive. What can I get rid of within SYSTEM?
System isn't a user.
I'm not sure if anybody knows what exactly makes up the "System" storage. It probably contains all the system files, but may also contain Local Snapshots, among other things.
