Facebook Messenger Blank Messages Screen

For the last two days my FB messenger app has not worked. When I click on the app, the screen opens but I cannot see any of my messages. The screen shows I am online at the top and I can see friends online but the list of messages is not there and if I try to send a message it says messages cannot load.

I have already tried the following:

•Updating my phone software and restarting my phone (did not work before or after update)

•Updating the messenger app

•Deleting and reinstalling the messenger app

•Powering off my phone and restarting

•Logging in from my PC (same issue there)

•Logging off completely from all devices and changing my password before logging back in

Two things to note: I have an alternative FB account and when I switch over to my other account, messenger works. I have my Apple Watch paired to the FB messenger I’ve had issues with and messenger does not work on my watch either. I’ve attached a photo of my messenger screen and the message I get when I try to send a message.

Any help is much appreciated but please do not suggest a solution I have already tried! Thanks
