No, it is a credit card. You have to apply for it, and your application can be denied. They check your credit. They charge you interest if you don't pay off the balance within a certain amount of time. All of this is exactly the same as other credit cards. They do have some benefits that you might not get with other credit cards, such as daily cash.

Actually they accept credit scores that are low. I don’t know exactly how they choose who can and who can’t get one. My credit score is in upper 500’s on two credit companies and low 600’s on another and I qualified.

And it's not very easy to qualify for. I am pretty sure they are only accepting credit scores over 700 :(
