New MacBook Air doesn't have USB ports only USB-C how does that work with the USB Superdrive?

The USB superdrive doesn't connect to my MacBook Air. My air only has USB-C ports. How can I make this work?

See the following from Apple USB SuperDrive - Apple

* MacBook, MacBook Air with Retina display, and MacBook Pro models with Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports require a USB-C to USBAdapter (sold separately) to use Apple USB SuperDrive.

This is the adapter: https://www.apple.com/shop/product/MJ1M2AM/A/usb-c-to-usb-adapter?fnode=8b
