iPhone to Mac Connectivity Problem

My MacPro will not recognise my iPhone 6, it is a new Mac Pro 2018 model which I had no problems with this before,ie, I could air drop from phone to Mac Pro.

The system tree information under "USB" on my Mac has no Iphone listed. What can I do to get it to recognise the iPhone? I have tried both cable to USB and airplay but neither of them work.

Was the support article about Continuity of any help?

Some aspects of the segments of this article overlap.

• Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple Watch - Apple Support

My iPhone SE does OK with my Late 2012 i7 quad core 2.3GHz

(original server edition, with dual HDDs, etc) with El Capitan.

Even though these product have older systems, they do OK.

Good luck & happy trails!🌞
