After changing battery in I phone 7 home button does not work any idea how to fix?

It is very easy to damage the cable to the HOME button when the phone is opened. If you changed it or a 3rd party shop changed the battery you are now out of luck. It can't be fixed, and Apple won't touch it once a repair has been made by anyone other than Apple.
