MacBook Pro - 3 Beeps on Start

System:

MacBook Pro Core i7 2.6GHz 15” Retina (Mid2012) 512GB SSD [Non-removable RAM]

Symptom:

Three beeps when trying to start it up.

Attempted Remedies:

1) Command + P&R buttons at start up - Failed

2) Took it to Mac Care Center (Philippines), tried several combinations of buttons on startup - Failed

3) Asked them to repair it, they said it was vintage (over 5 years old) and refused - Failed

4) Took it to recommended non-Apple repair shop, they had it for 3 weeks - Failed

The guy at the Non-Apple shop said he tried some things, but his English was broken and couldn’t really convey what he had tried. I’m wondering if there is somewhere I can send it to try to fix it it, or am I sitting on a 7 year old, $3000 paperweight?

If the case truly is that the ram in your Mac is not removable, you'll have to bring it into a Genius Bar for an inspection to determine what's wrong and how it can be fixed. As stated 3 beeps indicates a RAM error, which must be corrected for your computer to work properly. You can use this link to set up a Genius Bar appointment:

3 beeps = bad RAM. Try reseating the RAM in the slot, it may be loose. If that doesn't help remove first one module, then the other testing with only one to find the bad module. It's process of elimination.

If you need to replace RAM, know that Macs are fussy about RAM. Both Crucial and OWC are reliable vendors with high quality RAM.

EDIT: [Non-removable RAM] Well, that is a problem.
