The sound on my phone works fine except when I use headphones! I can hear the sound but very low. No matter how high the volume, the sound remains super low. I have tried several pairs of headphones to make sure they worked and that wasn't the issue.

Plug headphones into your device
If you can hear sound through the headphones but not through your device's speakers, unplug the headphones and clear dust or debris from the headset port on your device.
