How can I get into my iPad to recover my data, when I get this message after typing in my passcode? “Data recovery cannot be completed” “please restore your iPad from backup”

I'd say you need to do what your iPad is telling you to do, which is to restore it from backup.

Thank you for your response but it will not let me get past this page. I already tried backing up to iTunes and nothing happens.
