app update is not working

I can't update many apps, For some Apps, It says: This discounted price is only available to customers who own a previous version of this item. To purchase this item at full price, click buy.

This seems to be something new and from what I've been able to understand, these apps you want to update, were likely downloaded under a different Apple ID from the Apple ID you are currently signed into on your iPad.


Does that appear to be the situation in your case? If you want to use them under the current Apple ID, you will need to buy them under that ID.
