No. I just updated my watch a few hours ago and I just used Siri to make a call.....no problem. Sweep up on your Watch face to make sure you did not accidentally tap on Airplane or Theater Mode.

Thanks for replying. I updated my iwatch and it is working fine. It's my wife's iwatch that was not working and she asked if it was because of the update.
