Depending to what extent you use the word 'clean' in regard to the Mac.
To clean case, keys, or display, there are preferred instructions; to 'clean'
the hard drive, you may carefully study how to erase and re-install an OS
from backup or an all-new installation.
There are no cleaning utilities recommended for the Apple computer, such
as some refer to 'clean' when something has run amok or otherwise in-op.
Should there have been an adware or malware, use adequate precautions
& avoid these situations where issues are often self-inflicted. No antivirus
is necessary nor would any be required.
Please define the use of the word 'clean' and your expectation when so doing.
Not sure, but I don't think I've even 'cleaned' either the software or the hardware
in over 500+ macs that I've owned, restored, maintained, or donated. ~ But that's
a matter of definition.

It's not possible to hack an iOS device unless jailbroken. As far as Mac OS, it's practically impossible unless you gave someone physical access to your Mac. It could be done remotely but requires the kind of sophistication and effort that no hacker could be bothered with unless they know you have state secrets on your Mac.
