I'm trying to erase my MacBook Pro's internal ssd but the computer shuts down as soon as I click the erase button in disk utilities. I'm running the disk utilities from macOS recovery installed on an external drive.

Yes. I first deleted Macintosh HD, but I think it shutdown midway. Now I only see the Apple SSD and Container1. Thanks.
