Is there a way for me to permanently save a copy of my last iphone backup to itunes so that it doesnt get overwritten by the next backup?

Thanks TT2! That is indeed what I did! How does one one confirm that the archive was successful? I dont see any properties or get info option. Most troubling, when i I right click on the "archive", it offers me the archive option again! Bad Apple programming, or did I do something wrong. (The file name did get a date appended - that is the only visible change I saw)
Archived backups include the date they were archived. Live (rolling) backups don't. The next time you backup a new rolling backup will be created, I assume, since you're suggesting the existing one was renamed rather than being copied to a new one.
