Youtube keeps going back.

So, this happened after I recently got this new phone. Whenever I use Youtube on the mobile version, often after I watch a video it’ll automatically go back a page, and then if I click on a video from that page then when it’s done it’ll take me to the last video that I watched. Who’s idea was this stupid feature? I usually just open videos in a new tab anyway. I already searched online but apparently I’m the only one who has this problem.
