Accidentally pasted my message into the recipient field. Now getting a blinking message saying - cannot send message- there is no text to emergency service. I can’t get rid of this or do anything in messages

How do I get rid of a blinking message on my messages page on my iPad. It appeared after I tried to send a recipe to myself, but after putting in my info as the recipient, I inadvertently pasted the recipe in the same field as the recipient information. The massage says-cannot send message-there is no text to emergency numbers available. I can’t get rid of message or do anything in messaging

Hi Mco727,

Are you referring to iMessage msgs? If Yes, to delete away an iMessage msg, select the message which you want to delete, tap on Edit at the top left corner, select the unwanted msg (Tick it) and tap on Delete on the bottom.

Have you done any backup before? If the above solution doesn’t work out and you had previously done a backup of your iPad, you can reset your iPad to factory settings followed by restoration from your backup.

To reset your iPad to its factory settings, you can refer to this link:

https://support.apple.com/en-sg/HT201252

To restore your iPad from a backup (iCloud or iTunes), you can refer to this link: https://support.apple.com/en-sg/HT204184

Hope these helps.
