How do I connect my HP Deskjet 3054 printer to my Macbook Pro?

That particular printer does not support AIrPrint. So I suppose you'll have to connect it using USB as shown on page 36 here.

If it is a WiFi printer connect it to your WiFi following the manufacturer's instructions. Then on your WiFi connected computer add the printer.
