If you need more space, the best "maintenance" you can do is

purchase an external drive an move old data or items that you do

not require daily access to. Things like your Photos libraries and

iTunes libraries can easily be moved to an external drive.

macOS does not need any help from cleaner's, defogger's, defragger's or protection like window's. All you need to do, is keep macOS up to date and resist downloading junkware that will try and bork your Mac.
