apple trade in

i have an iphone xs right now. my father just recently bought an iphone xr. i want to switch to the xr but i don’t want to just put the xs in storage considering it is still pretty new (not even one year). although i did not buy applecare, am I able to trade in the iPhone Xs for credits to possibly buy a Mac?

Can I transfer AppleCare+ to new iPhone 15? I currently pay for AppleCare+ and have my current phone registered for developer betas. With the new 15 PM being announced I wanted to trade my 14 PM in for it. Would this all transfer over to the new phone or would I need to re-buy AppleCare+ and re-register my device?
