How can you use automator to print excel files?

So I've been playing around with automator and can use it to print all word docs within a folder but I can't seem to manage to get it to print any excel files within the same folder. I tried to figure out how to individually print excel files but it just wasn't as easy as word docs.

The actions I am using are (this prints word docs fine, not excel files tho);

Get Specific Finder Items
Get Folder Contents
Print Finder Items

If you select the same Excel documents in Finder and choose Print from the File menu, does it open Excel and print?

Sometimes it is not possible to "quick" Print from the Finder (and thus Automator) because the Print dialog wants input from the user.

I don't think there is anything else that could be used except maybe an AppleScript action. However, that may not work either given the response from Excel.

I see the same thing when I try to Print from Finder. I'm using version 16.3.

Ah you're right. When I try to print the excel spreadsheet from the file menu it switches to the excel software but the file doesn't open and nothing gets printed. Would any of the other automator actions happen to be able to print spreadsheets?
