How do you install games?

That depends highly on which game, and on what platform the game targets, and on what software licensing applies.

For Mac games, You go to the Mac App Store, and you download macOS games from there. Or from Valve Steam, or another service.

If you want to try to get Microsoft Windows games running, then you install, boot, and run Microsoft Windows as a guest, or using Boot Camp.

If you want to try to run Windows apps more directly on macOS, and without Windows installed, and if the game licensing allows this, then you will need to experiment with a translation and emulation layer, and that layer can be Wine, and for assistance with Wine you will want to visit WineHQ, and can involve Wineskin.
