Need help to retrieve lost voice memos from iphone7

I am missing a ton of voice memos from 2017 of my child’s first words. It may be that these were lost when I performed an update without backing up to iTunes and when my iCloud storage was maxed out. Is there anyway these memos can be retrieved?
