Macbook Air "Lighting"?

I have noticed that some, or.. "most" of the Macbook Air had a lighting Apple logo on the back of the screen display...

My question is that... does the latest model of macbook air have the "light" as well?

Because i notice someone has a apple logo on the macbook that did not have a light inside them.

Answers much appreciated... also, please no insults as i am new to the computer part of apple. Thanks!
