The battery of my iPhone 6 died and isn't responsive to my charger anymore - at first it did show the low-battery symbol.

I went camping this weekend, and my phone was about to die Saturday-morning. I decided to let it die, because I wouldn't need my phone anyway that weekend.

When I came back this Monday (yesterday), I put my iPhone 6 in the charger and it showed the charging symbol (the red battery without a cable, indicating that the iPhone was actually charging).

Several hours went by without a change in this situation. It has done this before (needing a few hours to turn on again), so I just waited a little more. Then, later that night, it completely died. Plugging a charger in the phone doesn't show any symbol at all, and pressing the power button doesn't do anything either.

Things I haven't tried:

  • Resetting the iPhone - My home button unfortunately broke down a while ago, so I don't think I can do a reset (holding the home & power button).
  • Changing the charger - My roommate will be home soon with another Apple charger. I'm not 100% sure if my own charger is an Apple product or if it's a replica, so that might be able to help. I'm not hopeful, though.

I hope I've provided enough information! I really wish someone could help me out.

Thanks in advance!
