Any having battery issue with an iPhone 7 and IOS Update 12.4.1
iPhone 7
I updated iPad to os 12.4.1 today and it has shut down unexpectedly at least 5 times as if the battery was flat.
I watched it drop from 88% to 45% in 30 mins with only 1 app open (all others closed properly).
On the last crash I plugged it back into power and it powered on at 73%. 😡
I have this problem with an iPhone Xs Max, both with Apple battery pack and without. Phone now takes much longer to charge. Also, the notification windows that appear on the lock screen are noticeably smaller and NOTHING fits in properly. This is the kind of crap microsoft used to do - i'm rapidly losing faith in Apple - they are certainly no longer the leader in design and performance but seem to be roaring to the head of the pack in turning out crap.
Not helpful when the recommended solution (ie upgrade software) is what led to the problem (ie 12.4.1 upgrade).
Battery was was fine before the upgrade as were my safari favorites which disappeared after upgrade.
I saw something yesterday that said turn off phone & restart, then let your battery drain all the way down to 5% if possible & then recharge to 100% & so I tried that & it’s been better!
I have the iPhone 6s+. Just after I upgraded to IOS 12.4.1 I noticed that my battery drained to 1% in a 24 hour period. I don't use my phone much except to receive and make calls. My email is always shut off unless that's the only device I have on hand (which is rare). Anyone know what is draining the battery so quickly.
My iPhone 7 is having battery issues after that update also. My phone was at 88% when I went to bed & I woke to 20% with no apps open!!! Anyone know of a fix yet?
I had the same problems with my iPhone 6. This post helped me https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250604098?answerId=251156936022#251156936022 . Solution was no 3.
A wipe. Follow the instructions, point no 3 in this link: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250604098?answerId=251156936022#251156936022 . Take a backup first.
Not helpful from apple. This is not us being uneducated but annoyed by an update that appears to be causing an issue with battery life.
The basic troubleshooting steps:
Restart, Reset, Restore from backup and Restore as new.
Which one have you done already.
Iphone SE, updated to 12.4.1 and have massive battery draining!
Yep. Same prob with XS. Lost my favorites in Safari too
Same happening on SE. battery was fine before upgrade to 12.4.1. Now I can watch my battery lose charge. Please give us a fix!
Try to restore your iPhone. I had the same probs and it worked for me.
