How can i unlock my ipod

My iPod touch is locked and I did not have password on it

You will need to restore your iPod by connecting it to iTunes. Follow the instructions here:

If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support

Try restart your iPod first. If it still doesn't work, change a USB cable or change a computer for iTunes. Worst case scenario you will need to Contact Apple Support.

I tried that but iTunes does not show my ipod. I am baffled to how it became disabled when it did not have a passcode on it.
