quicktime 7 Pro... getting the registration working even though the server is down?

Hi I've got an immediate and pressing need for a feature in Quicktime 7 Pro. I have a license, I have installed QT 7 but when I try to register the product, it times out trying to find the server, which has clearly been shut down.

I have multiple hard drive backups, I HAVE a Pro license, and Quicktime 7 is clearly still working on my system...

I've done everything properly, and I NEED Quicktime 7 Pro, like right now.

How can I get this working?

I've googled it, and none of the answers available online work. wherever the license is now stored, it aint where the internet thinks it is.

Not exactly. To activate the Pro license, do NOT click the ‘Buy QuickTime Pro’-button. Instead, select one of the other text fields (with the mouse or the Tab key). A small ‘Pro’-sign should be added to the Q-logo on the left, as confirmation, then close the Registration window with the Close-button.

The license will be accepted if both the name and registration code are exactly as in registration email, without need to contact any server.

The Buy-button would take the user to the site to buy a new registration code, but that site has been gone for many years, as new Pro registrations aren’t sold anymore.
