Problem logging into iTunes after changing email address.

Hello, I am trying to change my apple ID email address so i can log into itunes and update my software. I changed the email address to my icloud ID and password and it still won't let me log into itunes

Did you change you email address on your existing Apple ID or create a new Apple ID? What happens when you try? Error message(s)?
