I had some problems with my apple watch 4 last month so had to unpair it, re-pair it etc.
Eventually apple gave me a new watch.
Now on my iPhone I have multiple watches showing up. (see pic) in health app.
How do I delete unused watches, from phone without deleting data ?
I can see which is the active one when I go into the each screen.
Just want to make sure its all kept upto date with no data loss.

If you re-paired the watch several times and each watch had data on it then the watch will appear in the Health app with the data from that instance. If you delete the watches the data retrieved from them will be deleted.

Does the synching process not keep all the data ?
Having multiple watches can't be good.
It doesn't do any harm. Each instance had data synced to the Activity (and thus Health) app. I have several instances of my watches in the Health settings also.
