My MacBook Air doesn’t recognize password

Did the restart command “r” and correct password doesn’t unlock the drive, other option to reset didn’t accept my Apple ID and password (which btw just allowed me to sign into this forum to ask the question). Not sure what to do from here.

Resetting the SMC and NVRAM:

Sometimes operations are performed and then the keyboard settings become manipulated, technically. So... Try resetting the SMC and NVRAM. Then reboot into Recovery Mode once more.
